Adobe Creative Campus

Hands-on workshop at University of Arizona - Feb. 2018

We realized that in order TO improve digital literacy at OUR institution, WE needED to get OUR colleagues to "look up".

First, we needed to recruit our stimulus crowd...our early adopters!

We would love to tailor our presentation to this unique audience!

NOW THAT WE recruited OUR early adopters, we needed to create an ecosystem conducive to creativity and digital literacy...

The learning habitat

HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY IMPROVE COLLEGE CLASSROOMS?

Let's keep it exactly the same but add screens!

What kind of workplace are we preparing our students for?

HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY IN AN OPEN FLOOR PLAN?

LET'S ADD SCREENS!

THE OPEN FLOOR PLAN AND THE SCREENS ARE DISTRACTING THE WORKERS!

LET'S SEPARATE THE WORKERS INTO CELLS!

The open floor plan began to be replaced by the cubicle farm starting in 1964!

How can we possibly improve the cubicle farm? LET'S ADD SCREENS!

this isn't working either! what should we do?

the modern office: WORKPLACE OR WORKPLAYS?

RESEARCH showS that having fun at work...

  • improves health
  • improves communication and collaboration
  • improves productivity
  • encourages advocacy and loyalty
  • breeds creativity

the office of the future exists today

Some meeting areas look and feel like living spaces, like this one at Air BnB
Huddle rooms are a temporary oasis from the busy workplace that can be used for small meetings and private phone calls.
Open, asymmetrical, floor plans with glass walls and plenty of natural light create an inviting atmosphere.
Lunch and break rooms are comfortable space that encourage socializing and gameplay.
Sticky spaces keep employees at work longer, since everything they need is right there at work.

Create a learning ecosystem that models the target workplace

COLLABORATIVE CREATIVE SPACE

Team up with college leadership to create a collaborative creative space for your students.

Supply some desktops, laptops, or tablets but allow for BYOD.

you can even utilize the space to host community events and promote your academic programs
