Choosing to book a photo session of any kind is the start of a lot of planning, both on the clients side and the photographers. Being prepared makes the day and the planning involved much easier on all ends. When you walk into the studio space and you know what to expect, you'll feel more confident and ready to step in front of the lens. This week, I'll walk you through the process.
After talking with you, the first thing I like to do is set up a consultation in order to go over what you might be looking for, answer any questions, and show you the product samples I have on hand. These are always before you book and in person so you can meet me beforehand and see if the experience I can provide is what you're looking for. Once you've made the decision to book, a deposit is made and your day is set aside.
I will never book more than one shoot during a day so that all the time is spent on you and your session won't be rushed. When you walk into the studio space setup for you, I'll have already tried to make it as welcoming and relaxing as I can. Its time for you to get pampered and focused on, so we'll start it with some sweet treats while you get your hair and makeup done.
We'll do a before shot so that after, you can see your beautiful transformation from start to finish. The great thing about all this is that you don't have to worry about getting ready at home! You can come in with yoga pants or pajamas on, no makeup, messy bun, whatever you like. No fuss before required! We will take care of everything for you. It's included in your session price. After hair and makeup, will be wardrobe. We will have talked about all the choices before the day, and you can bring whatever we've discussed from home, or choose from the studio pieces if they're not already laid out for you. Its dress up time, so feel free to browse!
Once you're dressed and glammed up, it'll be time to take your place in front of the camera and get ready for your close up...or two. As I said before, there will be no rushing, so you'll not be moved quickly and pushed through your shoot. This is all for you and I intend on keeping it that way. We will carefully pose and readjust wardrobe, hair, and makeup as needed until we get all the perfect shots. When its all said and done, you'll have a collection of images to be proud of, and you'll be all ready to go out and feel beautiful the rest of the day. Date night, anyone?
Two weeks after your session, I will call you to set up your reveal session. Here is where you'll see your collection for the first time and be able to choose the images you want to take home with you that day. For any print you purchase you'll receive a digital copy of it as well. All of this will be carefully packaged in mats and a beautiful folio box to protect and store your collection.
