The effect of food type to food preference by Harrison Raesly and David Zientak

What types of food does a tortoise prefer to eat? During our research we found out that tortoises like to eat grasses, weeds, dead plants, leafy foods, and vegetables.

Our hypothesis is, if a tortoise eats more of vegetables than fruits then we will know what food tortoises prefer to eat because it will have eaten vegetables more than fruits.

The procedure is to gather food. We gathered radishes, tomatoes, kale, lettuce, and apples. We put all the food out and would let the tortoise eat. each food weighed up to 5 grams, then after the tortoise ate we would weigh the amount of food left, and to gather how much the tortoise ate you subtracted what was left from the total. Do this twice a day for 4 days.

Conclusion, I support my hypothesis because the tortoise has eaten more vegetables than fruit and now we know that tortoises prefer vegetables
