our story

we started back in 1980 where a registered nurse and pomology professor fell in love with the admiration for fruit trees. kalayada and james created k & j orchards to bring premium quality fruits and nuts into their community. after many years of production planning, succession planning, and varietal selections the orchards grew into two northern californian towns; winters and yuba city. to this day, the farming practices have been passed to their next generation for continued growth and nurture. we hope that you too will enjoy the fruits of our continued dedication to this profession.
