Jim Crow
Jim crow laws affected black people politicaly in many different ways one of these ways is a grandfather voting clause. This means that if your grandfather could not vote then you could not vote. This really affected the first generation of people who weren't enslaved because there was no chance that their grandparents could vote. Another way that they affected is in unfair court cases in which the defendant may be innocent but just because they are black they are prosecuted. They did this by making the jury's all white and prefiduced.
Jim Crow laws effectted black people economically in many ways. One of these ways is share cropping. Share cropping effected black people because no matter how much crops they are always going to owe a large percent of that to the owners of the land that they rented from. This was pretty much another form of slavery. Another way they effected them was that white people would not shop at their stores so they would be losing a large portion of the people who could buy from them
Black people were affected socially during the Jim Crow period. One way they were affected was segregation Segregation was a big issue during Jim Crow. Segregation means that two different people are separated. The black people had much worse facilities and schools. They were separate but not even close to equal
