Benoit Mandelbrot coined the term fractal in 1975

Benoit Mandelbrot's early access to IBM computers helped generate his fractal in 1979

The development of technology led to faster mathematical calculations in which Benoit was able to plot data, generate graphs, and prove that fractals exist

The Mandelbrot Set is Benoit's signature fractal

Fractals are a celebration of art, math, and science
