Jon Peters Design + photography

The Canadian Lifesaving Society contracted me to update a suite of materials relating to their Honour and Rescue awards, including event invitations and collateral. The design focused on relating to the subject through colour, adopting the orange found on a lifesaver with a complementing pleasant blue alluding to water.

Included in the brief was the necessity to incorporate the medal of bravery into the design. In order to do this subtly, the medal was first illustrated in full colour, and then converted to an outline and repeating background, which is featured on the cover pages of publications and on invitations and RSVP documents.
In the spring of 2015 I met a now close friend who operates a small olive farm in rural Sicily. Delighted by the prospect of tasting his olive oil, we decided to begin a venture together packaging and distributing the oil locally. To support this new business, I designed all collateral and brand identity, including logos, bottle design, business cards, and produced all product photography. The challenge was to create an image that exuded the classic, timeless presence of Sicily with an updated modern aesthetic.

In addition to branding design, I included photography as components of social media marketing. Shown below are various photographs produced in support of Olio CassarĂ 's social media channels.

The World Conference on Drowning Prevention is an international symposium that gathers delegates globally to discuss the health crisis that is drowning, especially in global-south nations. It is occurring for the first time in North America this year, and I have been contracted as the lead designer for the year-long lead-up to the event. The first requirement was to produce the sponsorship prospectus, shown here.
A new online retailer for custom suits contracted me to produce high-quality digital renders of their suits. I began by shooting the model in studio, and digitally manipulated the clothing to reflect the wide array of fabrics available.

My other creative outlet is photography. I shoot photographs of people, interiors, and, most recently, cocktails. Below is a small sample of some of the work created in the last few months.
