What is a Narrative??

A spoken or written account of connected events; a story.

Personal Narratives

A prose narrative relating personal experience usually told in first person, its content is nontraditional. Personal refers to a story from your life or your own experiences.

End Goal:

We will be writing our own personal narrative stories starting next week. This week we will practice writing other people's stories.

Goal: Write a Personal Narrative not about you.

Directions: Read the name of the person on your card and begin to construct a short narrative (1-2 paragraphs) about that person. You can either do something similar to their life story, or create a fictional one.

Time: Approx. 3 Minutes

Share your story. Everyone has a different story and every story is important!

Exit Ticket: Turn in your drafted narratives and your prompt.

Have a Great Day!
