What To Expect
Facilitated by PBL Works USA expert National Faculty, this PBL Works Institute will provide three full days of world class professional learning in gold standard project based learning. This is the one and only PBL Works Institute in Australia in 2020 and will be hosted by iOTF Events and partner Become.Me at SALT VILLAGE MANTRA RESORT on the Tweed Coast, NSW January 14th - 16th (10 Minutes from the Gold Coast Airport).
PBL 101 Workshop
This foundational workshop will provide participants a blend of direct instruction, video analysis, hands-on work, resource sharing and peer collaboration and feedback. PBL 101 is based on tried-and-true strategies for developing learning experiences for educators that lead to sustained changes in practice. Using our model of Gold Standard Project Based Learning, the workshop itself models the project design process. Learn the knowledge and skills needed to design, assess and manage a rigorous, standards-based project. PBL 101 serves a pre-requisite for other future PBL Works offerings including; PBL Leadership Workshops or advanced PBL 201 sessions. PBL Coaching may also be offered in the future. This particular event will feature 5 x parallel PBL 101 classes (no more than 35 in each for a max of 150 participants) as well as a keynote from PBL Works CEO Mr Bob Lenz.
