Reflective Discussion Online Particiapation

Online Participation - Reflective online discussions are becoming easier for me to participate in; asking questions and starting a conversation with other educators is empowering. However, I am fully aware of that fact that I need to participate more in the online communities I have elected to belong to in order to continue growing.

Comfort in online community....Why?

I find myself feeling more inclined to ask questions and discuss educational concepts via twitter. This is due to the fact that I am limited to the amount of characters used in these conversations. The limit of characters for me is a safety net because I often still wonder what I have to offer that is of value to others. I am working on overcoming this thinking and hope to be a regular contributor by the end of the year.

Collaboration is the key to further success......

The collaborative conversations I have had the opporutnity to be a part of throughout my journey with 'Mind Lab' have lead to changes in my practice. These changes include PLD involvement online and the integration of social media in the classroom. I fully believe that in today's learning environments change is something that we should all embrace.

JUMPING IN - TAKING RISKS... BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS....DEVELOPING TRUST

COLLABORATION, BELIEF IN SELF AND THE WILLINGNESS TO TAKE RISKS MAY LEAD TO CHANGE.... THIS CONVERSTATION EXAMINES A COUPLE OF THESE KEY CONCEPTS. 'MINDSETS UMMMMMM' HOW DO WE INITIATE CHANGE?

ONLINE TOOLS ENAGE AND SUPPORT PERSONALISATION OF LEARNING.

The conversation looked at how technologiy can help students to have real time conversations and learning opportunites at their finger tips, personalisation? However, I still believe that we as educators need to be aware that technology should not be used for technology sake and to ensure that learning is meaningful to each individual. My next question is: is technology the key to self regulation?

FOR ME THESE FINAL TWO QUOTEs ARE SOMETHING WE AS LEARNERS SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER. I CERTAINLY AM GOING TO TRY.....

THANK YOU 'MIND LAB' FOR ENCOURAGING ME TO SEE THAT I AM AN INNOVATIVE LEADER.
