The Genre of this book is science fiction. The setting of this book is in various places of the United States. The theme of the story is "When you crush the humanity out of humans, you're left with humans with no humanity"

Plot Summary- When cassie is captured by the "others" she is tortured by them so they can get information about the location of the other humans left. The only other humans she knows of are her friends in a rundown hotel. They are safe there untill they let a suicide bomber get to close and she gave away there location. Now all the characters are on the run from the "others"

The main characters of this book are. Cassie which is a blonde haired girl with blue eyes. Even Walker which is a man who is half "other" and half human. Ringer which is a girl who's the toughest out of the group. Zombie which is the leader of the group and also he's cassies highschool crush.

The main conflict of this books is, the "others" have invaded earth. They're trying to take it over. They have already wiped out a majority of the human race but they have missed a few stragglers here and there. Cassie and her friends are trying to stop them from taking over the earth and it's working somewhat. They've come to realize that the "others" take control of there human hosts. There is barely any trust in this book because of this.

The infinite sea is a great book. I recommend it to the readers who enjoy science fiction books. There is a lot of cliff hangers in this book as it switches from different characters points of view. This is only the second book of this triology. You have "The Fifth Wave", "The Infinite Sea", and "The Last Star". Anyone could enjoy this book if they just sat down and started to read it.

"When you crush the humanity out of humans, you're left with humans with no humanity"-Cassie. This shows the readers that even though there wiping out the human race, the remaining humans will do anything to get the planet back. " "To Hold on, you haft to find somethings your willing to die for"-Cassie. The only reason why cassie isnt dead yet is because shes holding on to hope.
