Christianity was founded by Jesus coming to this world through Mary, in the 1st century of the Roman Empire. Then when he was 33 he began his teachings and gaining followers through his miracles and lessons. His followers were Jews who were searching for their messiah, and believed he was it. He taught throughout the surrounding area of Jerusalem for 3 years, claiming new teachings. The Jewish leaders did not like him, for he was claiming to be the son of God which was breaking the law in that time period, and also was making them lose followers. The Jews were giving everything towards Christianity, leaving less money for synagogues (Jewish places of worship). Even though Jesus had many loyal followers, they feared Jewish leaders such as Ponchious Pilot and others. In order to stay in good grace to Ponchious Pilot they started to turn their backs on Jesus. Finally having a leverage, after The Last Supper, they arrested and sentenced Jesus to death by cross.
