Near the end of March, we launched a pilot ESL class under the name SucSEED. Around 12 local youth from various schools joined us as we explored the English language through interactive lessons. It was an awesome learning experience, especially for Lauren and me!
During the Songkran holiday, anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000 people cross over the border between Thailand and Myanmar! With temperatures rising, our team decided to head out and help all of those travelers stay cool with free water while they wait in line at immigration.
In April, a team from Valley Christian High School came to serve with us! We held a special Seeds Night hosted by Valley and some of our students from our English class stopped by. During Songkran, the team joined in with the festivities and armed with water guns, balloons, and buckets, we took to the sidewalk to drench passerby!
Valley also hosted English Camps at a local Church and at Seeds. It was incredible to see so many smiles as we taught silly dances, basic English, and created art with the kids!
