Top 10 of 2019 my favorite pictures of the past year

As we approach the new year and the new decade, I wanted to share some of my favorite images from personal and professional sessions over the past year.

I originally became interested in photography because I wanted to capture the small moments as my kids grew. These pictures are just that: Saturday morning hiking adventures, silly impromptu photo shoots to fill the time on rainy afternoons, and enjoying the best parts of a South Carolina summer. When I look at these pictures I see their courage, their sweetness, and their joy and I am in awe of them all over again.
In one year I was able to capture a maternity, newborn, and family session for these clients. Capturing this little one's growth was such a privilege.

These clients wanted to capture their son's baptism. Not only was this kid the cutest, but the love brimming from this family made every picture glow.

Visibility matters. With my photography I want to give you the opportunity to truly see yourself and all that you have to offer. So being asked to photograph Lavender Graduation 2019 for this group was an honor. Seeing the joy of these students as they celebrated their true, authentic selves, was immensely humbling and precious.
The excitement, the anticipation, the love. Perfect.
Last but not least... As I branch out into Boudoir Photography, I challenged myself to step in front of the camera and found parts of me I never knew existed: power, strength, and beauty.

So here is to 2020. May it bring all of you love, light, strength, joy, peace, and those moments worth saving be they big or small. Happy New Year everyone!
