Jim Crow Laws
Whites and Africans had been separated. There would be signs that would say Colored restroom and White restroom. These laws had not allowed Africans to go to any place with white people because they had thought that if Africans did anything with Whites it would make them lose their rights and they would think that Africans had more rights. If not followed there was a high chance of punishment or getting lynched as entertainment
A black man was not allowed to offer his hand to a white man. This had implied being socially equal.A black man was not allowed to offer his hand or any other body part to a white woman becuase he could have been accused of rape. They also had to call Whites by Ms,Mr,Mrs and were not allowed to use their names while whites could say the africans real names.
