Baked! of Bloomington is a bakery that specializes in made to order cookies. They offer over 20,000 different combinations of cookie ingredients and do both pick-up and delivery. They are well known around Bloomington and have a 4/5 star rating on Google and a 8.7/10 rating on Foursquare. This group of HSJI students from Ohio are experiencing Baked! for the first time.
HSJI Student Arnav Damodhar orders cookies from Baked! for the first time. The man behind the counter is Steven Stuodevant who said that he really enjoys working at Baked!
"It's a pretty chill place to work," Stuodevant said. " The people here treat you really well and the cookies are free for us and really good."
Baked! also takes orders over the phone and delivers all over Bloomington. They get very busy at night, especially while school is in session, making delivery slow for some. Baked! employee Rose Neuken is seen writing down a delivery order before she goes back to making cookie boxes.
Jason Voegeli is an employee at Baked! who has been working at there for over a year and said that it's "a great place to work." He is seen here prepping the cookie dough to be filled with candy and chocolate. They offer several different kinds of doughs including sugar, chocolate, peanut butter, and vegan. They use ice cream scoops to get the right amount of dough and they flatten it out so it's easy to make into perfectly sized cookies.
Baked! offers a plethora of toppings such as different candies, chocolates, and nuts. Voegeli pours peanut M&M's on top of the flattened cookie dough before mashing it together to blend the toppings and the dough. After the toppings are mixed in, he scoops small balls from the mix to be put in the oven and baked into cookies.
While the employees are busy making cookies in the kitchen, the group of HSJI students are keeping themselves entertained with some of the games provided in the waiting room. Lauren Thomas and Arnav Damodhar set up up a game of connect four while they wait for their cookies to finish baking.
After spending around 10 minutes in the oven, the cookies are ready to be served. Voegeli carefully pulls the piping hot cookies fom the oven and then boxes them up before giving passing them on to the students who are waiting just outside the kitchen. From start to finish, the cookies take about 15 minutes to be ready from the time they are ordered.

"I think it's really good food," Miller said. "Baked! has the best cookies and when you get Baked! you realize how good cookies should be."
