How does 2018 1st Quarter compare to 2017 1st Quarter?

March 2018 there were 124 new listings in the City of Peterborough. 157 new listings in March of 2017.

With a total of 300 properties listed in the first 3 months of 2018, compared to 348 in the 1st quarter of 2017.

What does that mean?!?

It means we had fewer homes available for potential Buyers to purchase.

In the 1st 3 months of 2017, the average List Price was $360,662. In the 1st quarter of 2018, the average List Price was $387,637!

So how does that translate into Sales

The average sale price in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $359,591

The average sale price in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $391,244

That translates into a List to Sale Price ratio in 2017 of 107%, and 102% in 2018. Each in their first quarters........

....Which means....homes in the city of Peterborough have, on average, increased in value by almost 9% in the first quarter of 2018 over the same time in 2017.

Is there an average time it takes to sell a home in PTBO?

There is! Last year at this time it took on average 19 days to sell a home. This year to date we have seen an average of 23 days to sell a home in the city. Don't forget each day the house is on the active market and each day of conditions, adds up to that total.
