Spring Break

Today ends the 3rd Card Marking and brings with it a much needed break for all students and staff. There is NO SCHOOL for students tomorrow: Friday, March 31. Spring Break is next week: April 3-7, with school resuming on Monday, April 10. Enjoy the week with your family. Safe journeys to all who travel.

Also, as part of the recent bond passing, Smith Middle School will begin undergoing an interior makeover of sorts with the cafeteria, hallways, and doors/frames being painted. Over Spring Break, the cafeteria will be painted. Hallways and door frames will be completed over the next several months/into the summer. We are excited about these changes to Smith. More to come...!!!

Volleyball

The volleyball teams finished their season at Boulan Wednesday night. Great growth, progress, and fun took place this season. Way to go, ladies!

Track Begins After Spring Break

The 2017 Smith Knight Track season is right around corner with practice starting April 12th! Track is unlike any other sport as it offers 15 different events showcasing a wide range of abilities. Knights Track welcomes all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls looking to join their friends for some ‘fun in the sun’ as they compete in track and field. Make sure to have your physical taken care of before April 12th! We have many former Knights competing on HS track teams, continuing to stay physically active and fit and competing with friends on a team.

Beyond Black & White

Beyond Black & White 2017 - Stories of Us is an event that allows for our diverse community to honor and reflect on both diversity; who we are, and inclusion; what we do. In our efforts to define and embody World Class by 2020, time spent reflecting on our value-added diversity is not only time well-spent, but a necessary component to completing our mission. Deepening our own learning about who we are and what we can accomplish together as a diverse community is something worth highlighting.
