Symposium: The Nature and Practice of Civil Discourse FEDERAL JUDICIAL CENTER AND THE NINTH CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS

Reviving civil discourse in schools, communities and online was the focus of a special program held September 15, 2017, at the Robert T. Matsui United States Courthouse in Sacramento. Entitled “Symposium: The Nature and Practice of Civil Discourse,” the program was held in the Justice Anthony M. Kennedy Library and Learning Center and the drew a diverse group of federal judges, lawyers, educators and community leaders. The agenda included three plenary sessions and remarks by Justice Kennedy and University of California President Janet Napolitano. The event was sponsored by the Federal Judicial Center and United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
