Happy Holidays

First, I want to say THANK YOU!

I would like to take a moment to share a few thoughts with the team as we head into 2017. In my family the holidays are a special time. They represent a time of coming together, a time of forgiveness, and a time of charity. In essence, they represent a time of reflection on becoming a better version of ourselves. As I have reflected back on 2016 I am blessed and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know each of you and work alongside you. Each one of you has helped me become a better version of myself. For this, I am thankful.

2016 was a year of discovery for our team. While there were frustrating times, my association with each of you has made the journey extremely rewarding. I can honestly say that each one of you has provided me with inspiration and have touched me with your genuine goodness.

At the end of this year, as we pause to spend some time with our families and get some much deserved relaxation, I wish you the very best holiday season!

Having met with each of you I am very excited for an AWESOME 2017. We have some big goals. But, as a team, I am 100% confident that this coming year will be an amazing success!
2016 was a tough year for a lot of us. But, despite a lot of disruption we did some AWESOME stuff. We are set up for an AMAZING 2017. The opportunity is there, the strategy is right, now it's time to go execute.

2016 offered its fair share of good times. One of the many things I appreciate about this team is that not only do we get stuff done, but we have fun doing it.

Alison has been my partner in crime since I started back in July of 2015. She has been a true North Star as we figured out life at Adobe. She spent a good portion of the year being an awesome mother full time. While she was away her presence was missed. Since she has returned I am reminded of her great leadership and ability to think outside the box.

A true career and personal highlight came this summer when visiting India. Alok and Harpreet are not only amazing employees but amazing human beings. Alok, has taken on leading our India team and has done a tremendous job. I have come to appreciate the fact that I can give him a task and not worry about it because I know it will get done and done well.

Harpreet continually pushes himself to excel. He is always one to bring great thought leadership from the industry and push to deliver the best product possible. Additionally, his nickname of "happy" is very descriptive of him. He is always a delight to work with.

John came onboard in October and has immediately become a invaluable member of the team. Coming to us with both a product and consulting background has helped provide insights into the strategy of our team as well as producing exceptional work-product.

I wanted to close with this picture. It's a mountain I look at everyday named Lone Peak. I can see it from my desk and I can see it from my back yard. I have had a very personal relationship with this mountain over the past 20 years.

I have set out to climb Lone Peak 4 different times. 3 of these attempts ended in failure. Finally, on the fourth attempt I was successful. It wasn't the height of the mountain that made this a difficult climb. It was the obstacles on the mountain.

The difference between success and failure amounted to 3 things: being prepared, following the route, and most importantly attitude.

There is no doubt that 2017 will offer obstacles for us to overcome. I am committed to you to have the right tools and, with your help, the right strategy to overcome these obstacles. My ask for each of us is go forward with an indomitable positive attitude. Together we are going to absolutely crush 2017!

Thank you for all you do!
