Does My Organization Qualify?
Through its grants, the REALTORS® Community Foundation (RCF) seeks to support projects and/or programs that are actively working to transform the lives of people in our community. The following are general guidelines by which grant applications are reviewed and prioritized:
- Organization must be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization as classified by the IRS.
- Organization and its grant-related project/program must be located within Ada, Elmore, or Gem County.
- Grant-related projects/programs must address a specific, housing-related need, with preference given to those offering long-term benefits and/or impacting a significant number of people.
- The RCF does not fund organizations located outside Ada, Elmore, and Gem County, general operating expenses, denominational education, travel or lodging expenses, or individual/team sponsorships.
2019-2020 Changes to Annual Grant Program
Grants awarded in 2019 will be limited to a maximum of $1,000 in order to accommodate RCF’s transition to giving out several larger grants in 2020 instead of a higher quantity of smaller grants as has been the practice in recent years. The amounts of the 2020 grants will be determined based on the funds raised throughout 2020.
In addition, we plan to distribute the grants in December to help grantees who qualify get an additional match from the Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge from The Home Partnership Foundation.
To increase awareness and engagement among the REALTOR® community, the RCF and Boise Regional REALTORS® will be inviting REALTOR® members to help select the organizations who will receive grants in 2020. Applications will first be narrowed down by the Foundation Board of Directors, and the final four or five grantees for 2020 will be selected by our REALTOR® members through an online poll held in Q4-2019.
