Our senior housing experience includes both for-profit and not-for-profit owners, from Hyatt Classic Residence (now Vi at The Glen) to the Jewish Federation, Presbyterian Homes, Mather LifeWays, and area Health Care Systems. Our breadth of completed projects ranges from independent living to continuing care retirement communities to skilled nursing and rehab facilities. Power’s project specialists understand the unique programmatic features and code requirements inherent in a senior housing facility, and the strict regulatory guidelines impacting design and construction.

Vi at the Glen

(formerly Classic Residence Hyatt)

Hyatt Development Corporation

This 776,000 sf Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is located at the former Glenview Naval Air Station site. Construction for this community includes two 3-story residential buildings, two 4-story residential buildings, pool, fitness center, 45 villas (11 single family houses and 34 townhouses), and a health center with skilled nursing, assisted living, and Alzheimer’s assistance.

The Moorings of Arlington Heights

Presbyterian Homes

Designed with resident independence in mind, The Moorings provides various levels of care to their residents. The new 120,800 sf, 4-story assisted living building features 70 units; the 30,000 sf, 2-story assisted living memory care building features 20 units; and the 22,500 sf, 2 story residents fellowship hall features a chapel and gathering place for residents. In addition, select renovation work in existing buildings and campus site work will be completed.

The Mather North & South

Mather LifeWays

This Continuing Care Retirement Community in downtown Evanston features two new 11-story buildings totaling 600,000 sf connected under Davis Street with a 20’ deep resident tunnel. Mather North includes 211 units, including a mix of skilled nursing and independent living, restaurant, other common area amenities, and an underground garage. Mather South features 102 units, a fitness center with indoor pool, and underground garage. The elegant masonry enclosure features bay windows, juliette balconies and cast stone window surrounds.

Town Center, Lake Forest Place

Presbyterian Homes

Presbyterian Home’s 55-acre Lake Forest campus was built in 1998 and serves more than 400 residents. Within the campus, the modernization of the 35,000 sf, 2-story Town Center provides better functionality and updated amenities to exceed current standards. Features include two kitchens, a new bistro kitchen, and new HVAC equipment for the space. In addition, administrative/marketing offices, dining area, library, café and lounge space in the residential country club area were also renovated.
