Open Your Eyes

  • Opened Background Layer
  • Opened M-B (daughter) image > used lasso tool to create new layer with mask > dragged into main image
  • Used puppet warp to extend fingers > quick selection to select fingers > paint brush at low opacity to paint fingers black > deselected > eraser tool at low opacity to soften edges of painted selections
  • Opened new image of M-B > cloned mouth into main image on new layer> Lasso tool to select K9 tooth > blur tool & eraser tool to extend tooth > free transform to reposition tooth > eraser tool to tidy edges
  • Repeated process for other K9.
  • Opened image of my eyes > created new layer on main image > cloned eye onto palm of hand > free transform to resize and reposition the eye > used eraser tool at low opacity to blend in
  • Repeated process for other eye
  • Added colour look up to bind it all together.

The Last of Us

  • opened background image of field with sky
  • Opened image of poppies > used quick selection > copied and pasted into new layer in the main image > added Gaussian blur set to 10
  • Repeated for “out of focus poppies 2” > free transform to reposition > background eraser to blend to layers of poppies together
  • opened image of different poppies > used quick selection tool > copied and pasted onto new layer in main image
  • Created new layer > copied and pasted the poppies again > free transform to reposition poppies to fill the bottom of the image
  • Opened image of memorial cross > quick selection > copied and pasted into new layer on main image
  • Opened image of girl in camouflage > used lasso tool to create new layer with mask > dragged this into main image > free transform to resize and reposition girl > added lens flare filter
  • Added colour look up to bind it all together

All The Small Things

  • Opened background layer of sea
  • Opened image of people leaning on railing > quick selection to select people > copied and pasted into new layer on main image > background eraser to tidy up and blend in
  • Opened image of small rubber duck > quick selection > copied and pasted into new layer on main image > free transform to resize and reposition the duck > eraser tool to show water around duck
  • Created new layer > added clouds filter > changed opacity > used eraser tool to take away excess clouds.

Rear View Mirror

  • Opened sunset image as background layer
  • Opened car interior image > copied in to main image > free transform to resize > reveal all mask > brushed out areas not needed
  • Opened new image > copied in to main image > free transform to resize and reposition > hide all mask > brushed areas I wanted to see > added gausian blur to throw selection out of focus.
  • Opened image of crackled reflection > copied in to main image > free transform to relocate and resize > hide all mask > brushed through to reveal area needed
  • Added colour look up to tie it all together.

Take Back The City

  • Opened background image of building > copied and pasted onto new layer > free transform to reposition > added reveal all mask > brushed out bits I didn't want
  • Opened image of Ivy covered wall > quick selection tool to cut out ivy > copied and pasted as new layer on main image > free transform to reposition and resize
  • Opened different image of ivy > followed same steps as previous > clone tool to produce more ivy around windows and more of the wall.
  • Opened new image of blue sky with clouds > dragged in to main image > free transform to reposition > hide all mask > brush in sky
  • Opened image of windmills > copied in to main image > free transform to reposition > reveal all mask > brushed out unwanted areas
  • Opened mural image > copied in to main image > free transform to reposition and resize > Change blend mode to multiply
