The Wesleyan University wrestling team kicks off the 2018-19 season on Saturday, November 10th at the Roger Williams Tournament.

Head Coach drew black

"Last season, it was 'Believeland' with an 18th place finish at the NCAA Championships, two All-Americans (third and eighth), along with the No. 1 and No. 3 pinners in the country. This team has graduated a special class, but we have another exceptional senior class ready to leave their mark, along with a talented freshman group and very experienced sophomore and junior classes. This is a great combination of experience and a new talent centered on 'No Limitations.' I am looking for this team to improve, achieve, succeed and finish far and deep come the post season. 'No limitations, only expectations,' on our road to Roanoke, Va."

Coach Black has been at the helm of Wesleyan wrestling for 20 years and owns a 204-169-2 career record. He will be assisted this year by Devon Carrillo '17, Niko Filippakis, Victor Ekpenyong, Matt Moran and Dan DiCenzo. The team went 12-7 last year for its third-straight winning season.
