Iceland Mary lyons 4800

Everyone's heard that story about the Vikings cleverly naming Iceland one thing and Greenland another in attempt to push people to move to Greenland, but there's a lot more to Iceland than that legend of false advertising.

Iceland is full of both beautiful natural scenery and intriguingly colorful architecture

This video gives a glimpse into the culture of Iceland and what makes it so fascinating.

On the edge of the capital city of Reykjavik sits the gorgeous Harpa concert hall. The concert hall and conference center opened in 2011 and plays hosts to many musical events and award ceremonies.

Gulfoss Waterfall is one of the most overwhelmingly stunning nature wonders I've ever witnessed.

Iceland's heavy volcanic activity leads to an ever-expanding shoreline; each beach is covered in a mixture of rock and fine, black volcanic debris.

This brief video shows some highlights of my family's recent vacation to Iceland:
