83% of people in Rwanda live in rural areas. Raising goats can be life-changing for these families, who refer to the gift of a goat as “manna” from heaven.
The goat’s milk may be sold for drinking or making cheese and yogurt. Families selected to receive a goat promise to join with another family to breed their goats. The resulting “kids” are then shared with other families in need.
