Morris Museum to Exhibit Work of Two LHS Students

Two Livingston High School students will have their work displayed at the Morris Museum as part of Fresh Perspectives, a juried high school exhibition.

Shirley Zhu and William Taylor were among the 50 high school students from across New Jersey whose work was selected for the exhibit that opens April 7.

Fresh Perspectives started in 1989 to give artistically accomplished high school students a professionally organized museum exhibition experience and to recognize art teachers for their encouragement and effective teaching.

Zhu is exhibiting a piece from Creative Photo II. Her teacher is Tori Gioioso. Taylor is exhibiting a photograph from AP photography. He is taught by Arlene Brown.

The high school artists’ works featured in the exhibit are in a variety of mediums, including computer-based graphic design, found objects, video animation as well as the more traditional painting and sculpture.

The LHS students will receive certificates of participation at the exhibit’s opening reception on April 7. The public is invited to view the exhibition through June 4 at the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township.
