Arek was born from Poland descent, in the the town of Chelmno, Poland
He was raised and cultivated by a Jewish family, and he too eventually believed in Judaism
At the age of nine, he first encountered anti-Semitism from Polish classmates and parents
Arek was also a Holocaust survivor and during WWII, he was always close to the brink of death
