The Washington Monument is a very famous and tall monument and also represents George Washington who was the first president of the United States

The Washington Monument was made in 1848 and was created by Congress. The Monument is located in the Washington Mall in Washington D.C.

The Washington Monument is 555 feet tall. The monument has an obelisk shape and has an elevator inside to go up. The monument has a great view from the top. It weighs 91,000 tons!

This symbol represents patriotism and liberty since represents George Washington and he was the first president of the U.S.

An earthquake struck 90 miles outside of Washington D.C. and the Washington Monument almost collapsed! The Washington Monument was the tallest man-made structure until the Eiffel Tower passed it up.
