PopArt Project Carly Pitts

March 10, 2017

Last class we discussed all of the pop art artists and we looked up the popartists work if we were interested by their work. We had to draw six designs that were inspired by their work. I am still a little confused but I think once I get the hang of everything I will start to enjoy the project more.

Today I continued to look for designs for my Pop-Art project. I am really interested in the Japanese artist. His artwork is really ineteresting and strange but cool. But I think I will be using Romero Britto as my inspiration to my Pop-Art project.

Today I began to sketch my ideas for the project. Romero Britto uses a lot of triangle, random colors, and random design in his artwork. I think his artwork is very unique and cool. I am getting more excited to begin this project.

Today I am still working on my sketches. Ms. Mcall picked one out for me to put on the big paper. I am now just taking what I have in my sketch book on to the big paper. I had to add a few extra designs on the big paper because my origional sketch was not filling up the whole sheet.

I just finished sketching everything on my big white piece of paper today. I began to sharpie the sketching. Also, I started to color my designs on the paper with markers. I am planning to also do water color, and color in with some colored pencils.

Today I am still coloring in with marker on my cover. I am not using a color scheme, I am just using any random color. Romero Britto dosent have a designated color scheme so that why I am not using one. Next class I am planning to continue coloring.

I began to use water color. Since my whole sheet is all triangles with designs in them, I did 4 on my triangles with the water color with no color scheme. I also used more markers to color in my triangles. Next class I am planning to go over the sharpie lines once more to make them neater, and to use colored pencils.

Today I m still using water color to fill in more triangles. I plan by the end on class/lunch to start using colored pencils and to be finished. I hope to cut my paper out into two triangles and to glue them to the cardboard stuff and move on to the next step of the project next class.
