**Properties of Potassium** Potassium is a soft, silvery-white metal with a melting point of 145°F and a boiling point of 1,420°F.

The metallic version of potassium is found in 2.1 % of the earths crust, ashes of plants, and in molten caustic potash. Potassium is also found in things we eat and it helps our bodies. Such as bananas and avocados.

Potassium is an ALKALI METAL.
