I was born in River Falls, WI to my wonderful parents, however I only lasted about a year, so I don't remember much. I'm super grateful for my family and sister. They are always there for me while I'm in a pickle and I don't know what I'd do without them.
I grew up in a small town named Farmington, MN. I loved the city, most of the people in it, and the sports I played.
After I decided to retire from soccer, my world took a turn. I had to fill my time doing other things, and I was adapting to my change of major. Graphic Design was too art based for my taste so I changed my major to Cross-Media Graphics Management (which is now Graphic Communications). I had friends that were supportive and helped me find my way through my new found soccer-less life.
This change of major has not only taught me many things about the print industry, but also a lot about time management, and how to work with others effectively. I've also found more wonderful people that push me to be the best student I can be while leaving room for some fun! I also found a club called STS through my major that I love!
The summer of 2017 is going to be an eventful one because I am doing an internship through "Global Printing" out in Alexandria, VA. I'm going to get to experience the industry first hand by partaking in the prepress department. Prepress is always changing and I'm really excited to see what I can learn. Not to mention the location itself is really exciting!
