Cransley School is a wonderful mix of tradition, history and modernity.
Cransley School was founded in Bowden in 1934 as a girls' preparatory school and in 1977 moved to its current home, Belmont Hall, a beautiful 18th Century Grade 1 listed country house set in a 25 acre park, near Great Budworth.
The house was completed in 1755 and is an archetypical Georgian design.
Our pupils study beneath its imposing Georgian windows and façade, large fireplaces, fine stucco plasterwork and detailed wood carving.
The school nurtures in its pupils the facility and patience for observing fine detail and seeking beauty within their learning environment - whether it be in the glorious surrounds of Belmont Hall...
...or the idyllic rural environment.
Our pupils are encouraged to form opinions, critically assess, visually evaluate and express themselves accordingly.
Our pupils develop an individual understanding of what is beautiful, and what is not.
Cransley is a school that emphasises the importance of fostering skills of creativity, expression, interpretation and discernment.
A school that acts accordingly by enhancing and broadening the cultural and aesthetic opportunities for our pupils alongside their academic success.
