Letter to teachers, students, and parents,
Welcome to the 2021 school year! I wanted to take a second to let you know a little about me and our newly renovated media center.
Let me first let you know that you are welcome to come be nosy about the media center. Come on in and snoop around! Yes, I mean that. Open doors, look at books, ask questions and make suggestions. You are always welcome. The media center is here for your needs and learning. And no, that does not mean just learning for school. Want to learn how to play guitar – request a book on that. Want to learn how to cut hair – request a book on that.
As for me, I am pretty easy to get to know. I am silly! Don’t be surprised if I tell you that I want a pony for your overdue book fine. (Please don’t bring me one!) I love reading and want everyone to have a favorite book. My other interests are cooking and eating. I hate cleaning.
I have been married to my husband for over thirty years, have two adult children and one large cat. There is not an animal that I don’t like and I always get in trouble at home for bringing in stray animals. Ask me sometime about the mouse I brought home or the squirrel I met in Central Park in New York. I only get serious about one thing, helping you.
My ask of you is to take a minute and drop me an email or a note. Let me know about you. I am going to put some topics below. You can answer as many of these as you want or tell me something totally different.
What would encourage you to come in the media center?
What tools/technology are you afraid of?
What do you think you rock at?
What is one thing that I need to know about you before we work together?
What makes it hard for you to come to the media center?
What topic or subject are you the most interested in?
How can I help you?
You can send your response to firstname.lastname@example.org, chat with me on Teams, join the Media Center Team at bzlfi2g or leave me a Flipgrid video by clicking the link https://flipgrid.com/09309d84.
