€ 7900,-

This clavichord is a copy of an instrument from the second half of the 17th century.

The original instrument can be found in Musikinstrumenten Museum Leipzig

The clavichord is a bit larger than other clavichords from the same period. It has therefore an impressive sound and is easy to play on. This clavichord is diatonic free.

This manual clavichord was the basis for the 17th century pedal instrument that Dick Verwolf made several times. It was very common in the 17th and 18th century, to make a pedal instrument for an already existing clavichord.

The image on the lid is a drawing of the city of Leiden, late 17th century.
