SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT
Since 2018, I've been experimenting with creative forms of sharing products, events, and experiences with online communities in a professional setting. In my work with Flood Church and Bad Madge, the goal is to create visually captivating content that conveys a clear message, whether that's a, "Thank You," to those who participated in an event or encouraging viewers to check out new products in the store.
CONTENT CREATED FOR FLOOD CHURCH
Flood Church uses social media to connect with its community by posting about upcoming events, encouraging active involvement in Sunday gatherings, and sharing verses and quotes for viewers to meditate on. My goal was to showcase the faces of Flood while holding space for creative designs that highlight ways to get involved in beautifully simple ways.
Part of my role with Flood Church was to create graphics for event promotion that translated well between social media posts, e-newsletters, and printed materials. Variations of these graphics were produced to suit their shared environments.
As Instagram Reels became more popular, I created video content to show off the store in a new way. These close-ups of life at Bad Madge worked wonders for community engagement, giving the online audience a look into a place they only ever see in photos.
PHOTOSHOOTS
One of the biggest creative assets I've curated is the ability to personally produce content from start to finish. Starting with a general concept, planning and executing a photograph to align with the message, and translating the idea to social media takes knowledge of a variety of creative mediums. My professional photographic work highlights the client's products and sentimentalities to produce images that are visually intriguing and effective.
THE ULTIMATE GOAL
As social media evolves and the needs of online communities adapt, a social media manager's job changes with the times. The ultimate goal is to connect with audiences and provide a positive social media experience. I'm looking to craft an honest, intentional message that tells a story. From communicating information about events, encouraging community engagement, and showcasing new and exciting products, the purpose is always to cultivate interpersonal connections.
