Tumblehome Our annual migration to Cushing's Island

Early May marks the seasonal migration of two little birds across the channel to Cushing's Island.

My favorite time of year...

We pack up all of our favorite things and venture forth, no matter the weather.

As we cross the channel a weight is lifted and our spirits soar with visions of the days ahead that bring warmer weather and fair winds to sail among the islands.

Our humble arrival is uneventful and I already appreciate the simplicity of our island life.

Tie up the boat.

Check the mail and wonder who put that deer head up there last summer.

Go for a walk...

Enjoy the light...

Grab a few more things from the boat...

And tumble home.
