Hi! I am Madison Phillips and I do art constantly. I am constantly drawing when I am bored(which is a lot). I am drawn to art because it is a great thing to do when you have some time on your hands but don't know what to do and I am constantly looking at new styles and ways to make my art better.
Some classes I have taken are: 3D art at SMS last year, Sculpture classes both at SMS this year and at Music and Art camp last summer, a jewelry class at that same camp this summer and many more classes.
My favorite part of the creative process is the creating part because I can make my thoughts come to life.
My favorite artist is Dale Chihuli because I think that what he does with glass and his sculptures is amazing.
These are some of the things that I love about art. You get to be creative and make things that you probably wouldn't usually make or draw. Like in sculpture this year, I never thought I would be making a sculpture of and ocelot of out trash bags and tape(lots of tape😀) but I did. And the best part about that is the fact that I learned that I can make things out of other things than clay or paper( I also learned I can work really well and get good ideas when I am listening to music).
So that is why I like art.
