Hearst / Houston Chronicle, Digital Sales Manager: My primary focus is working with my team on growing their clients business through the development of their digital campaigns, while shaping and growing client base with their target market in mind.
Digital campaign development includes the following: Programmatic Advertising, Search Marketing, Social Media development, strategy and implementation, Website Design, and Digital Development.
I, along with my team maintain $1,300,000 in revenue across 175+ active accounts comprised of existing and new revenue. In doing so, our billing increased by 30% year over year. Responsible for all the digital revenue for a six-member sales team, I participate in in-field presentations daily to secure new business.
In addition to sales efforts, I help to hire, train, and develop the sales team on current digital marketing strategies including programmatic advertising through Amuse Managed Services, Hearst Core Audience, DataXu, in addition to search marketing, social, and traditional display advertising.
I frequently interface with Amuse, InVue, and LocalEdge (Hearst digital advertising agencies) to manage campaigns and pitch new business.
2010 - 2014
Houston Chronicle, Account Executive: As a leading AE at the Houston Chronicle, I developed and managed results oriented advertising campaigns focused on clients business growth and goals. I was able to differentiate myself from my peers by sourcing prospective clients daily, and strategically use our portfolio of products to build successful advertising campaigns for my clients.
In my time in this role I developed mastery of our full portfolio of offerings including search engine optimization and search engine marketing with Google, Yahoo & Bing, Social Media Management, Website Design, Digital Development, Commercial Printing, and display advertising both online and in print.
2006 - 2010
The Greensheet, Sales Manager: As a Sales Manager, I successfully worked to recruit, build and coach a sales team of 16+ salespeople. During my time at The Greensheet, I received numerous company awards such as the Greensheet Key Award(s) and the prestigious Spotlight Award.
I was responsible for maintaining and growing $4,000,000 in existing revenue and developing new revenue streams for the company, participated in the Hiring/Firing Employment Decisions/Processes, and focused on Needs Based Sales Coaching – to further mutual relationships of Clients and Sales Representatives. I also worked on developing key strategies and disaster plans which resulted in saving over $240,000 in revenue loss from Hurricane Ike.
2005 - 2006
Associate Product Specialist, Bang & Olufsen: Organized marketing / mailers; Built personal client database; Kept sales up in fast paced environment. Also maintained inter-state transfers and Reconciled daily transactions and deposits as part of opening and closing duties.
2002 - 2004
Wilsons Leather, Assistant Store Manager: Top salesperson for Woodlands location, and helped to manage prevention; Lowered losses from 2.8% to 1.47%. I also trained sales associates on, loss prevention, marketing and promotions, sales techniques; Gained management experience; Managed and executed store display standards; Marketed current promotions, store display updates, and price changes; Balanced payroll; Processed deliveries of new merchandise.
