Gloria Estefan is a Cuban-American Singer, songwriter,actress, and businesswoman.She started her career as a lead singer in a band called "Miami Latin Boys"which was eventually known as Miami Sound Machine.Miami Sound Machine began recording and releasing various albums, one called “Live Again/Renacer, and was released with two different covers.In 1984, Miami Sound Machine released their first Epic/Columbia album, Eyes of Innocence, which contained the dance hit “Dr.Beat” as well as the ballad “I Need Your Love”.

Her first musical success was in english.After several years, she made the song titled “Conga”.

It won the grand Prix in the 15nt annual Tokyo Music Festival in Japan.

In March 1990, Estefan had a severe accident on her tour bus, but made a comeback in march 1991 with an album called Into The Light.Her album sold 100 million records worldwide, including 31.5 million in the United States alone.

She is the world's most successful English/Spanish crossover artist in terms of album sales, and is also trilingual, being able to speak English, Spanish, and French

She is married to Emilio Estefan, and has a son called Nayib, and a daughter called Emily, and are now living in Star Island.
