Musical Lineup Announced for 2019 Tailgate Taste Fest
Returning to the stage to open this year’s outdoor concert is local, southern rock favorite Soul Circus Cowboys. Southbound75, who was recently voted Top Emerging Country Acts on Reverbnation, will follow, bringing their high-energy country twang to the stage. Chad Montana Band, another fresh new group to join Tampa Bay’s Tailgate Taste Fest musical lineup, will headline the show. This year’s musical lineup will infuse the country and southern rock genres that Tailgate Taste Fest patrons have grown to love with local flair,” says Jenna Grooms, Event Manager for the Event Development Institute. “Our event attendees will not only get to play corn hole, sample foods from our participating restaurants and mingle with their friends over an ice-cold Bud Light, but they will be able to attend a FREE concert in the park, which is a rare opportunity! We can’t wait to see everyone rocking out to some of the area’s best local bands.

19th Annual Bolt Run presented by AdventHealth
The Lightning Foundation and the Tampa Bay Lightning are excited to announce that the AdventHealth Bolt Run will be Sunday, October 27, 2019, at AMALIE Arena. This season's race will once again consist of a 5 Mile, 5K and a Family Fun Run/Walk. The event will span the entire morning and will feature family-friendly activities on Ford Thunder Alley and will once again finish inside AMALIE Arena!! EACH REGISTERED PARTICIPANT WILL RECEIVE:
- A FREE ticket to one Tampa Bay Lightning Game
- A finisher’s Medal – All races
- A commemorative Bolt Run t-shirt (gender-specific)
- Pre/post-race activities with food & beverages on Ford Thunder Alley and in AMALIE Arena
- A portion of each registration will be donated to benefit the AdventHealth Care 360° Transportation Care Program via the Lightning Foundation.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back for the 2019 season with all new ways to support the cause with the 7th Annual Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run powered by Jabil with your family and friends! The return of our Fun Run along with the 5K you have come to love- means more Bucs fans dedicated to making waves for breast cancer research and patient services in the Bay! After you cross the finish line, continue the rally the very same afternoon at Raymond James Stadium as the Buccaneers take on the Arizona Cardinals, during the breast cancer awareness game. Both courses will finish in the Buccaneers Indoor Practice Facility at AdventHealth Training Center! REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

After-School All-Stars Tampa Bay Cornhole Challenge
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2019 | 6 PM – 9 PM | JULIAN B. LANE RIVERFRONT PARK After School All-Stars is proud to partner with the City of Tampa to present the ASAS Tampa Bay Cornhole Challenge, a fun event in which companies and individuals throughout Tampa Bay area compete to become the overall Cornhole Champion. Companies of all sizes can compete in our exciting tournament. The evening will also include music, food, beer and a tailgate atmosphere with the Tampa Bay Lightning Game on a large video screen.
Registration Launching for the 2020 Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon
The Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon (TBKT) will return to Adventure Island for it's eighth year on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Hosted by the Event Development Institute and Tampa Bay Sports Commission, the TBKT offers youth athletes, experienced and first-timers alike, the unique opportunity to swim, bike and run in and around Busch Gardens’® premier water park, Adventure Island. Boys and girls ages 6-10 (junior varsity division) and 11-14 (varsity division) are eligible to participate. The first 400 registrants receive a complimentary ‘Stay and Play’ ticket to Adventure Island®, valid on race day only. Registration will officially launch Friday, October 18.
EDI Manages USF's Inaugural Bulls Kick-off Luncheon
On August 17, USF football fans and local community leaders filled the ballroom at the Tampa Marriott Water Street to for the first-ever Bulls Kickoff Luncheon, emceed by Bay News 9 anchor Veronica Cintron, a proud USF graduate. The event's star-studded guest list included City of Tampa Major Jane Castor, Pro Football Hall of Fame member and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Derrick Brooks and WWE Superstar Titus O'Neil, who were all in attendance to hear from USF President Dr. Steven Currall, Vice President of Athletics Michael Kellly and Head Football Coach Charlie Strong. Student athletes from the Bulls football team were seated at each table, which made for a truly unique experience for attendees.
