Radnor v. Lower Merion The 123rd Meeting

A week of Radnor pride culminated with a 49-6 Raiders win over Lower Merion in the football teams' 123rd matchup on Oct. 12. The victory evened the series at 56 wins a piece, with 11 ties.

The game was also this year's Homecoming, where Luke Hondros was named King and Annabel Zhao was named Queen. This year's LM Week theme was High School Musical.

Spirit Days

RHS students decorated the hallways to match this year's Disney Channel Originals theme. Seniors were inspired by High School Musical and Mickey Mouse; Juniors, Teen Beach Movie and Phineas and Ferb; Sophomores, Camp Rock and Hannah Montana and Freshmen, Descendants, Kim Possible and Gravity Falls.

Students also participated in a variety of Spirit Days throughout the week: "Around the World Day" on Monday, "Safari Day" on Tuesday and "Throwback Thursday."

Has-Beens Luncheon

On Thursday, RHS football alumnus Percival Moser, and other members of the affectionately named "Has Beens" football alumni, enjoyed a meal sponsored by the Booster Club with members of this year's team.

Pep Rally

On Friday, students and staff members celebrated their Radnor pride during the annual LM Pep Rally in the gym.

Technology Education teacher Mr. Drew Krupp emceed the festivities, which featured performances by the cheerleaders, football players, senior boys and girls, teachers, drum line, color guard, the Radnor Ravers, RHS senior Ally Capone and dance groups Hot Topic and 4Dust.

The Radnor and Lower Merion football teams met for the 123rd time on Oct. 12 on Prevost Field at RHS.


Seniors Luke Hondros and Annabel Zhao (center) were named RHS Homecoming King and Queen at halftime. The other members of the court were Barbara Civitella, Ellie Mueller, Jillian Scheuerle, Mehek Thapar, Cole Schwartz, Regal Noye, Chapin Lenthall-Cleary and Aidan Giacomucci.
