Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. ~Albert Schweitzer
Advice For Class of 2021
-DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. If you procrastinate and put off work until the last minute, you will realize that your work will be piled up and you will have loads of work to do in order to turn it in on time. Many of the teachers at the high school do not take late work, so do your assignments when assigned or you will realize that your grade is in the gutter.
-Always listen when the teacher is talking. I know it seems kind of basic, like something you would say to a kindergartener, but I'm being serious. Your teacher could give you key information about an assignment or even assign you something to work on and if you aren't listening, you will miss it.
-Give 110% effort on every piece of work you turn in. No matter if it is your final or a simple discussion post, try your absolute best on it. The more you slack off and lose points on silly things, the more you will realize that all of those points that you are losing by being lazy are adding up.
-Stay out of drama in and out of school. I know that it is hard to stay out of because drama is like a magnet. It pulls everyone in. Drama can impact how you do in school and the choices you make. Don't let a stupid thing like drama be the reason you don't pass freshman year.
-Manage your time wisely. Instead of goofing around with your friends, it might be a better idea to get that project done that is due tomorrow. Spend more time on the assignments that are worth more points. Do not waste an hour and a half typing out a discussion post that is worth five points. Get it done quicker. Give yourself certain amounts of time for each assignment. Trust me, it will help.
-Enjoy your time in high school. Pretty soon, you will be graduating as the class of 2021 and be going off to college. Your four years of high school will fly by. Cherish them while you can.
