Severe Storms By: Destiny Huey

Thunderstorm- caused by warm unstable air that generates lighting and thunder.
Formation Stages

1. Cumulus- warm air rises and the cloud grows bigger.

2. Mature stage- the cloud is at its biggest with large amounts of water so precipitation happens.

3. Dissipating stage- precipitation cools the cloud down then the storm dies.

All the stages in order in which they occur.
Tornadoes- violent windstorms that form a vortex, start as thunderstorms.
Two stages of formation

1. Warm air rises and rotates called Mesocyclone.

2. The air begins to roll from the strength of wind creating a vortex.

5 formation steps- Broadcasting live the most violent storm on Earth. HURRICANES!
First, Hurricanes start off as a bunch of Thunderstorms. Secondly, warm air moves to center and rises creating clouds. Third, clouds begin to form an eye wall which then the rings spin and grow. Next, the damage comes from the waves of water that goes across the land. Lastly, once the storm reaches far onto the land it begins to die out.
