The war was in North Korea and Korea Peninsula.

When did the war occur?

It was from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953.

Who was involved?

The people involved were Kim IL Sung ,Douglas MacArthur, Syugman Rhee and Harry S. Truman. Kim IL Sung lead the North Korea and Syugman Rhee lead the South Korea.

What caused the Korean War?

The Korean War was the first battle of the Cold War. It was also the first major Proxy war fought against the United State and the Soviet Union. A Proxy is when one country instigate in a war and it caused them to use other country to fight in the war. The Korean War began when the North Korean troops crossed the border into South Korea. The North Korean War strike was the first step in an international communist takeover lead by the Soviet Union.

How did the Korean War effect the country?

The Korean was effected the United State through politically, Economically and Militarily.Over two million people died or were wounded.

Success of Failure?

It was a failure because a lot of people hurt and dead from each side. About 1.5 million people were killed or injured from South Korea and about 1.2 people were killed or injured from North Korea. South Korea immigrated to US. North Korea suffered under dictator for three generation.The Korean people have suffered a lot form dictatorship in many ways. Like how the North Korean government does not guarantee its people's basic living conditions. The Korean People don't have much rights. Kim Jong-un is in power of North Korea.

Why was Korean War a Hot Spot?

The Korean war was considered a hot spot because there were a lot of intense fighting that happened during the war. If Korea was not controlled,everyone would have gotten along with each other and have had more freedom to do what they want instead of having to do the government want them to do.
