PG Football Rallies Past Georgia Prep

Sunday, October 9 -- Game Recap

The Fork Union PG football team rallied past Georgia Prep Sports Academy, 35-34, last Sunday at Fluvanna County High School. The game was moved to the Flucos' turf field due to heavy rain prior to kick-off.

Featuring two of the best postgraduate programs, the game was back-and-forth through out all four quarters. It wasn't until under three minutes in fourth when Fork Union secured the ballgame.

After a rushing touchdown by Terius Wheatley, Tripp Harrington connected with Mariel Jennings on a two-point conversion that eventually won the ballgame.

Fork Union returns to action this Saturday, Oct. 15 when it hosts Palmetto Prep Academy at 1:30 p.m.

"It was an epic battle with both teams making great plays. After taking body blows after body blows, Fork Union was able to pull out the win. Our discipline and will to win got us the victory." -- Coach Shuman

The Blue Devils return to the field Thursday, Oct. 20 when they host Collegiate for a 3:30 p.m. kick-off.
