Robotics Season Schedule:

  • Kickoff date: Saturday January 5, 2019
  • Build season commences Tuesday January 8 and continues Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays until Tuesday February 19. (Thursday Jan. 24 exempt due to exams)
  • Weekday times: 2:30 - 8:30ish - could be later as the season progresses
  • Saturdays: 8:30 - 4:00 p.m.

1st event: ONT District - Durham College, Mar. 1- 3 2019

2nd event: ONT District McMaster University, Apr. 5- 7 2019 (currently under review of facility)

3rd event: Smoky Mountain Regional Mar. 26 - 31 2019 To be confirmed

4th event: (Depending upon season standings) April 10- 13 Ontario Championship, Hershey Centre, Mississauga On

5th event: (Depending upon championship standings) April 24 - 27 World Championship, Detroit Mich. USA

District regional events - (2 events) $7500.00 CAD (paid for by Pathways)

Regional event (Optional 3rd event) $4000.00 US

District Championship $3500.00 CAD

World Championship (Detroit) $5000.00 US

  1. Event costs: $15,000.00 CAD -not including district events
  2. Transportation $8000.00 CAD
  3. Accommodation $12,000.00 CAD
  4. Team uniforms $5000.00 CAD
  5. Materials $5000.00 CAD
  6. Total projected team budget 2018/19 $45,000.00 CAD
  7. Cost per student $250.00 = 50 X 250 = $12,500.00- Payment via cashless, either in full or in two installments of $150. First installment due by Jan.11 2019, second installment due by Feb 28 2019
  8. Sponsorship = $25,000.00 -$30,000.00
  9. Fundraising (SOM, other) $5000.00 - $8000.00

Credit Allocation

Grade 9 Prerequisite: TIJ1O1 - Receive TDJ1OP

Grade 10 prerequisite: TMJ2O1, TDJ2O1, TEJ2O1 receive: TDJ2OP if first credit or TDJ2OQ

Grade 11 prerequisite: TMJ3E/C/M1, TDJ3O/M1, TEJ3E/M1 receive TDR3MP if first credit or TDR3MQ

Grade 12 prerequisite: TMJ4E/C/M1, TDJ4O/M1, TEJ4E/M1 receive: TDR4M1/2

SHSM & eligible students receive 2nd school credit through Gary Allan night school - TMR3 or 4 M1 or M2
