WLAX Spring Newsletter 2018

The 2018 regular season has come to a close, and the Tigers are getting ready to take on the ever-important post-season. As the #3 seed, the team will host a quarterfinal match-up on Friday, April 20 vs. #6 Berry. Clearly, the goal is to avenge last year's semi-final loss and earn their way to a semi-final match-up with #2 Centre.

The 2018 season has been full of learning and laughter, and this "second season" provides the chance to put everything we've been working on into practice. It's pretty simple from here on out . . . our season continues with a win; it ends with a loss. Nothing like controlling your own destiny!

As always, they've worked off the field as well as on!

While the names and faces change throughout the years, the bonds between teammates are still something we celebrate.

Sometimes you play smart; sometimes you play fast; and sometimes you make a goalie slump.

Spring Break took us from TN to Texas to Cali and back again!

Just some of our spring break adventures!
Jennings Briley '21, Kelly Thomsen '19, Katie Tiller '21 and Julia Wittosch '20 enjoy a tree break in TX while Sarah Strand '21, Mallory Bedell '21, Caroline Roncalli '21 and Emily Stallings '21 take a break from s'mores.

A HUGE THANK YOU to those who helped make our Spring Break Trip a success. We could not have done it without you. From what we hear, the ladies had a blast and can't wait to do it again!

On senior day, it was announced that our senior trio hasn't had enough of one another and will ALL be working for Moondance Adventures this summer before heading on to adult lives. Also, let it be noted that Eileen Sommi had the highest vertical jump in the informal test above!

A bittersweet goodbye to our three seniors.

Thank you to all of our families, friends and alumni who have made this season so special...

Captain Kit Sommi '18 has earned her stripes!
