Wetherby Athletic 3-3 Robin Hood Athletic West Yorkshire Premier League

It was heartbreak for Wetherby Athletic today after a goal deep into stoppage time robbed them of a vital three points.

The match started well for the visitors when a cross area pass wasn’t defended and the unmarked player shot home after 8 minutes.

Arran Horton had a great game for Wetherby - full of running.

Wetherby came back into the game and mid-way through the half drew level after a stunning shot by Josh Wilson, curled over the keeper.

Josh Wilson got us back on level terms.

The Tangerines took the lead early on in the second period well Wilson evaded several tackles and shot home from close range.

Josh shows nifty footwork for his second goal!

Things looked rosy for Wetherby just past the half mark when Wilson capitalised on a game of pinball in the Robin Hood area to claim his hat-trick after John Tehrani’s shot had been saved.

John Tehrani's shot was saved but Wilson pounced and scored his hat-trick.

Robin Hood reduced the deficit soon after when a shot from distance beat Mike Recchia.

With the game looking over and Wetherby looking good for the points, Hood scored deep in stoppage time to tie the game, however, was their an element of offside to the goal? Wetherby thought so!

Jonny Brown nearly scored right at the death!

We dust ourselves down again and go against Field AFC next weekend.
