Sherwood Heights Winter Happenings

Students enjoy some snow fun on the playground!

Students at Sherwood are back at it in the classroom, too! We are focused on the tasks of learning and improving our academic achievement. Students recently finished their second diagnostic tests for reading and mathematics. Ask your child how they did on their assessment. They should know whether their score improved from the previous fall score.

Dancing in Music

Lunch time is one of our favorite times.

Dance and Freeze - Listening to the music cues

Heading back to class after PE! We are tired! We played hard.

"I'd like a hotdog, please" Our kids have great manners.

Excited to see what is next.

Our "corrals" are great places to learn and grow!

"I'm not sure what this is, but it looks yummy!"

A focused group of third graders, getting the instructions on the next activity.

Adoring faces!

Student Assistant Principals take on official duties every Tuesday and Thursday!

The fifth grade students are enjoying their Assistant Principal duties at Sherwood this year. Each student has an opportunity to serve in the role, helping with lunch and recess duty, working with students having minor behavior issues, running errands, working in classrooms, noting positive observations, sharing lunch with the principal and having a much deserved "cocoa break!" Mrs. Owens, teachers and staff appreciate these hard working kids.
